My ancestary,William Fisher came over here from Germany with six sons in the late 1700's. There is a book written about them. Could you tell me where I can find this book and buy a copy? I am the last of the Fisher's. All of my Father's people have passed. Thank You for your help.

Searching for parents/siblings of Sarah Jane Townsend b. 1766 Augusta Co., VA. She married Col. Stephen Calvin Copeland, had several children all born on TN, lived, died and buried in Overton CO., TN. Some say her father was a John Townsend or James Townsend or Solomon Townsend.

My great grandfather, Oscar Stuart Fitzhugh (1879-1950) operated Fitzhugh Mercantile located at the site of the now-operating Long Meadow Cheese Shop in Fishersville. The address was/is 29 Long Meadow Road. I have a relatively large amount of information going back from my great great grandfather, back to my 10th great grandfather. However, my father never knew his grandfather well (he died when Dad was 8), and I have very little information about his life (other than some letters he wrote as a child from the family plantation outside of Stanardsville--Edgewood). In short, I requesting your help and guidance in researching the lives of Oscar Stuart Fitzhugh, Jr. and his wife, Pansy Jennings Fitzhugh (who also died in 1950). They are buried at Tinkling Springs. Suggestions as to locating obituaries would be a welcome starting point. I live in Cary, NC, and I plan to drive up your way later this month in furtherance of this project. I'm hoping your organization will be of assistance in giving me some leads. Thank you in advance for your time, assistance, and knowledge. Sincerely yours, Berryman J. Fitzhugh, III ("Trey") 919-369-1384
